We're sooooo happy to tell you that 'Discotillion' is number 2 in the
PULSE.PH TOP 10 ALBUMS of 2006 - number 2! - in a list of BOTH local and foreign albums. Here's the recap:
2. Discotillion—Narda
We haven’t stopped listening to this album yet. Unbelievably fetching,
compelling, and sexy… and no, we’re not just talking about lead singer
Katwo Librando. Narda reinvented themselves (Ding, ang bato!) and
brought empowerment and dance punk to a whole new level in the local
music scene. The energy on the songs just keeps climbing, raising boy
fans’ temperatures and inspiring girl fans to take a stand—while
looking as fetching, compelling and sexy themselves.JJ
Last night, Narda was featured in HIT 99.5fm's Sunday Sessions. 'Twas a blast! The phones were ringing crazy! It's all good as it means lots of new listeners for us. (Thanks to Ia and Krista, our friends from the
mailing list who called up) Most of the songs from Discotillion were performed and last night's listeners were treated to the premiere of the Narda versions of Le Tigre's "Deceptacon", Yeah Yeah Yeah's "Cheated Hearts" and Timmy Cruz's "Boy". The three hours passed by quickly with all the goins on in the booth.Stay tuned to this site, as we'll be putting videos from that rare live performance.
